The Criminal Justice degree provides a foundation in Law Enforcement and Public Service, allowing students to transfer to a number of 4-year program options. With the Joint degree program through John Jay, students are able to seamlessly transfer.

What makes this major unique?

Criminal Justice is a Dual/Joint degree program with John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Once you complete your degree at LaGuardia, you will be able to enter John Jay College as a third year student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree. The Criminal Justice degree leads to careers in Public Service and the Criminal Justice system.

Career Possibilities

Students who major in Criminal Justice may pursue careers working in public policy, law enforcement, investigation, and/or criminal justice reform. This could include working in community organizations or with legislators at local, state or federal levels.
