    • Faculty Student Support Checklist:This Faculty Checklist contains links and information onsetting up a Blackboard course, as well as a calendar of when to send C2C Alerts and Interventions.
    • Wellness Center Information:The Wellness Center offers free and confidential counseling services via Zoom or by phone to all students. To make an appointment, students can be directed to email wellnesscenter@lagcc.cuny.edu or call 718.482.5471.     • Assessment Information:Assessment at LaGuardia is a process designed to support meaningful learning and development—for students, of course, but also for faculty, staff and the College as a whole. For more information visit LaGuardia's Assessment webpage.
    • LinkedIn Learning:LaGuardia Community College has entered into an agreement with LinkedIn Learning (LIL) to give all active LaGuardia students, faculty and staff free and unlimited access to all of LIL’s online courses and professional services.

      How to Access LIL 
      1. Click onLinkedIn Learning. This link is also available on ourLIL Pageand theFaculty & Staff Portal.
      2. You’ll arrive at a LaGuardia login page. Use your Outlook credentials (your LaGuardia email address and password) to login into your LinkedIn Learning page. .
      3. As soon as you arrive at your LinkedIn Learning page your account is automatically activated so you can begin to explore and use LinkedIn Learning.

  • CISTraining Early Fall 2022 Schedule

    The CISTraining webinar schedule for September and October 2022 is here - you can view the CISTraining CIS Training calendar for upcoming webinars and you can register here. Remember to log in with your CUNY Login, which is the same @login.cuny.edu login you use to access CUNYfirst and Blackboard.




    Teams for Beginners – Tuesday, September 13, 2 PM – 3 PM


    Goes over the basics of using the Microsoft communication hub that integrates all other Microsoft applications - Teams. Navigation of the interface, one-on-one chat, creation of a team, meetings and document collaboration.




    Dropbox for Beginners – Monday, September 19, 2 PM – 3 PM


    Covers the basics of Dropbox - a cloud storage system available to CUNY employees - including access, navigation, syncing, sharing permissions and collaborating.




    Teams for Project Work – Wednesday, September 21, 11 AM – 12 PM


    Focus on using the Teams app for project work, including adding tabs, document collaboration, planner integration, OneNote integration and creating custom tags.




    Visio Online for Beginners – Thursday, September 29, 2 PM – 3 PM


    Goes over the Visio for the Web app available through the Microsoft 365 platform, including interface and navigation, creating basic projects and functionalities.




    Microsoft Lists – Tuesday, October 4, 2 PM – 3 PM


    Introduction to one of the new Microsoft 365 applications – Microsoft Lists, which helps you track information and organize work.




    Creating Accessible Documents – Wednesday, October 19, 11 AM – 12 PM


    Goes over important accessibility functionalities in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook to ensure that documents you share with a larger audience are accessible to everyone.

  • Hispanic Educational Technology Services (HETS) Helps You and Your Students


    LaGuardia I.T. is a member of HETS which allows all LaGuardia faculty, staff and students to benefit from the many valuable services HETS offers.

    Microsoft Office 365 for Education

    This CUNY page will provide you with a variety of resources to help you navigate and utilize the sharing and collaborative services provided by the Microsoft Office365 platform, including the following applications:

    • Excel 365 – the cloud version of MS Excel;
    • OneDrive – the cloud storage service;
    • OneNote – free-form information gathering collaboration tool;
    • PowerPoint 365 – the cloud version of MS PowerPoint;
    • Teams – a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines that, video meetings, file storage, and app integration;
    • Word 365 – the cloud version of MS Word.

    ZOOM Access and Support
    • To access your ZOOM account, go to ZOOM portal page and choose Sign in. You will be taken to familiar CUNY login prompt where you enter yourFirstname.LastnameNN@login.cuny.edu login credentials to reach your account.
    • Using the ZOOM web-based portal is the best way to reach the ZOOM site. For Desktop and Mobile App users: Use Sign-In with SSO and the Company Domain: CUNY to use your CUNYFirst Login. For more detailed instructions with screenshots use this link for a printable PDF: Login Instructions
    • ZOOM security protocols/practices are required for campuses, programs, academic departments, offices, faculty or staff that use ZOOM for any CUNY related activities.
    • ZOOM installers and plugins are available for all platforms and the latest versions can be downloaded from the online Help Center
    • Technical Support is available from ZOOM. As a licensed user you can go to the ZOOM Tech Help Center and Login support Issues can be reported to LaGuardia campus IT using the e-mail: ZoomHelp@lagcc.cuny.edu.

    CUNY Technology Services for Faculty

    Campus Visit Protocols for Faculty and Staff
    • Each Division has designated at least two liaisons to serve as divisional approvers charged to review and approve faculty and staff member visits. The following steps describe the request process for visits: Requestors will need to access the Campus Access Request Form via the faculty/staff web portal and include reasons for the campus visit. Requests must be submitted 48 hours in advance. (Use Outlook credentials to navigate.)
    • Requests submitted will be automatically sent to divisional liaisons for approval.
    • Upon approval, the requestor will receive an email with instructions on how to download the Everbridge app and complete the mandatory Daily Health Screening/COVID Symptoms Checker.
    • Everbridge App: Instructions how to access and use the Symptom Checker.
    • In situations where a smartphone with an Everbridge app is not available, the questionnaire is accessible via a daily email or in-person at the CUNY location. Everbridge Health Screening via Email PDF
