Individual Instruction for Deaf Adults and Specialized Workshops
Get one-on-one instruction to help you learn and improve your skills, whether for educational, professional or personal advancement.
For Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard-of-Hearing adults, receive one-on-one or small group instruction in all your educational and professional development needs, such as preparation for exams; American Sign Language (ASL) for Deaf International Students; specific academic, linguistic or career needs; and American Citizenship preparation.

For one-on-one instruction, an interview and diagnostic assessment of needs and goals may be given. A customized program with dates will be arranged upon full payment for each segment (2-hour, 12-hour and 24-hour courses).

Individualized instruction on specific topics for hearing adults is also offered, including preparation for the ASL Teachers Association (ASLTA) Provisional Certificate and ASL language development.

COURSES
Individual Instruction - 2 Hours
You will receive 2 hours of diagnostic assessment. ND
Individual Instruction - 12 Hours
You will receive 6 two-hour sessions of one-to-one instruction. ND
Individual Instruction - 24 Hours
You will receive 12 two-hour sessions of one-to-one instruction. ND
REQUIREMENTS

Prerequisites

Prerequisite for Driver (Learner’s Permit) Education for Deaf Adults: You must be a resident of New York State, 17 years of age or older, and have a Social Security card/number.
