FAQ’s

Advanced Manufacturing is the creation of a good from raw materials or parts through the use of labor, equipment and processes, with a focus on innovative technologies to increase product and process efficiency.

An apprenticeship is a job in which you learn while you earn a wage. Apprenticeships are a well-organized and supervised method that industries use to train people with little or no prior knowledge of a craft or trade to become capable, qualified craftsperson(s) or journeyperson(s).

A Real Career Path in Advanced Manufacturing

You will be trained for and placed in roles such as CNC machinist, welder, and industrial mechanic. You will study hand tools and power tools, blueprint reading and blueprint drawing, introduction to woodworking, principles of sustainability, welding, 3D printing, metal fabrication, laser cutting, CNC machines, and other Advanced Manufacturing topics. You will continue your training and education throughout your employment.

Some of the common products our apprentices have manufactured include aerospace industry parts, industrial springs, communications systems, subway and transportation equipment, HVAC systems, and even medical equipment such as ventilators.
