Grants & Sponsored Programs

Students outside walking to class

Welcome

The Grants & Sponsored Programs Team at LaGuardia Community College guides and supports faculty and staff in securing and managing external funding to promote the strategic goals and priorities of the College and its individual programs.

We serve Principal Investigators (PIs) and Project Directors in all divisions of the college. Grants & Sponsored Programs is the office of record for all proposal submissions and grants and contracts administered through the Research Foundation of CUNY (RFCUNY).

Proposal and Grant Management Support

Our team at LaGuardia offers pre-award and post award resources and support to faculty and staff.  A Grants Team specialist will guide you throughout the entire process, including proposal preparation, application submission, grant management, and award closeout.

Our services include:

  • Reviewing sponsor guidelines and proposal narratives.
  • Preparing and reviewing budgets.
  • Submitting applications via sponsor portals.
  • Coordinating RFCUNY legal review, award acceptance and account setup.
  • Coordinating with grant sponsors & RFCUNY on post-award grant activities.
  • Assisting with personnel hiring/appointment and OTPS procurement.
  • Providing guidance on budgetary matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and sponsor requirements.
